About Us
Celebrating its 16th year, the annual Ross-on-Wye Walking Festival has become a key event in the town's calendar. With 28 guided walks around the town, river and countryside, taking in the best of South Herefordshire, there is something for everyone including a selection of dog-friendly walks. The team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides will escort you on a range of wonderful routes, some within the town itself or off the beaten track – providing a real variety of gentle to medium walks aimed at all abilities.
Many of the walks have wonderful special interest themes or activities, while others simply explore the natural beauty around our quirky town – for example, you can try walks with a river cruise or afternoon cream tea; a bird identification stroll by the riverside or a top secret exploration of Goodrich.
Come and make new friends or bring your pals and you'll get a warm welcome from the experienced walk leaders who love to impart their enthusiasm and knowledge.
Booking early is essential as accommodation in the area is limited – note that there are also special walk offers with local hotels.
