You might think that the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley is all about nature and the outdoors, but it's also a great place for a shopping trip with many wonderful independent retailers, high streets full of shops, craft centres, markets, local food and drink producers and traders ready to tempt you.
Nestled throughout the area are an impressive number of small independent shops where you will be met with a friendly personal service. The market towns and picturesque villages of the Dean Wye have a unique character and charm and have plenty of local shops, farm shops and cafes. There are butchers and bakers, traditional sweet shops and book shops plus several delicatessens offering a range of local produce including some offering delivery.
The area's craft centres are also great places to spend a few hours and provide lots of ideas for unique gifts and souvenirs or to learn a new craft at one of the many workshop sessions. At Taurus Crafts and Warehouse 701 you'll find a huge range of crafts, antiques and goodies. You'll find art galleries showcasing our wonderful local painters and sculptors such as Creates Gallery, you'll find potteries and cider shops too.
