Things To Do

We’ve got outdoor adventures galore, unique attractions, activities and experiences, a rich heritage and a landscape ripe for exploring and getting off the beaten track.

You may wish to discover the area's history, or enjoy a stroll around a nature reserve, hire a bike and explore the many cycle trails through ancient forest, or why not get the adrenalin pumping with something more adventurous such as a high ropes course. The area is also home to one of the best rivers in the country for canoeing and kayaking - the River Wye and you can even now stand-up paddleboard here too. Whatever you try, you're guaranteed to get a taste for our fresh air and come back for more.

There’s an array of family oriented attractions where all ages can have fun. On rainy days there’s also plenty to do from museums to caves or how about spending some time riding a steam train through the forest or taking a boat cruise down the Wye. We have a wealth of experiences to take part in too, from wellbeing to food and drink, arts and crafts to archery.

Whether you come for the trees, the rivers, the culture, the fun, the miles of footpaths or cycle tracks or just to find your freedom in our little slice of paradise, we look forward to welcoming you here soon.
