  1. Afternoon Tea in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley

You are here: Food & Drink > Afternoon Tea

Afternoon Tea

“There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.” ~ Henry James

Quintessentially British, decadent and sumptuous, afternoon tea is no longer only the preserve of the rich. You can find many restaurants and cafes providing afternoon tea these days and it is such a fun and delicious treat with sandwiches, tea and cakes, plus these days there's Prosecco afternoon tea, seasonal and themed afternoon teas and even afternoon teas just for kids so they don't have to miss out on the fun. Maybe you'd like a takeaway afternoon tea or get one delivered as a special treat, and if you'd like to learn how to make one yourself we even have classes on making them!

Whether enjoyed in a 5 star hotel, a cosy cafe or as a take home treat, who doesn't love the combination of savoury and sweet treats, accompanied by some of the 165 million cups of tea we drink each day in the UK.
