About Us
The Buckstone House Coach House is a delightful combination of antique furniture, tasteful furnishings and the comforts of modern living providing spacious accommodation for four in two double rooms, each with its own bathroom (one en-suite). The Coach House is set in three acres of gardens and grounds in the village of Staunton, three miles from Coleford in the Forest of Dean and Monmouth in the Wye Valley. The Welsh border runs through the edge of the village, a stone’s throw away. You will have the use of the outdoor heated swimming pool during the summer months and the tennis court throughout the year.
Close to Newland with its "Cathedral of the Forest" Buck Stone House is an ideal base for exploring The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley with wonderful walks from your doorstep. Symonds Yat is a lovely walk through The Forest of Dean and along the River Wye.
The White Horse pub in the village, which serves excellent home made food, is a few minutes walk.
While we welcome children, parents should be aware that The Buckstone House Coach House has two double bedded rooms on different floors and also that the pool is not “child-proof” so it is not suitable for some families.
