You are here: Stay > Accessible Accommodation
Searching for accessible accommodation has never been easier and we have a range of property types available in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley for those with mobility issues looking to enjoy a worry free holiday.
We have forest log cabins with accessible hot tubs, cottages with ground floor bedrooms and historic hotels offering fine dining. Whether you or someone in your group has mobility issues we want to make sure you can all enjoy a relaxing rural break.
The below accommodation options are all those which are suitable for people with some limited mobility. This will vary from property to property, from those with an accessible ground floor bedroom to a property which is completely wheelchair friendly so please browse each property’s deescriptions and facilities in order to ensure that you find somewhere which caters for your exact needs.
In addition to the properties listed on this page which have a variety of accessible features, to further help narrow down your search you can also browse accommodation which is completely wheelchair friendly here. These properties have either been purpose built or specially adapted to cater for guests using wheelchairs. As mentioned above, including those with hot tubs!
If you have limited mobility but would still like to be able to explore our rural landscape in comfort you might want to consider hiring an off-road mobility scooter from Walking with Wheels. There are currently two locations within the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley where Trampers can be hired and pathed routes are provided to the iconic viewpoint Symonds Yat Rock and through ancient woodland. Find out more here.
Adult trikes and tandems are available for hire from Pedalabikeaway in the heart of the Forest of Dean. There is also a Changing Place facility there and their cafe is fully accessible. The Gloucestershire Wheels for All Project also have a large range of adaptive bikes available to hire. Find out more here.
