Pedalabikeaway is the only cycle hire centre in the Forest of Dean with direct, traffic-free access to both the leisurely Colliers Trail and some of the UK’s best mountain bike trails.

From gentle forest rides and peaceful walks to adrenaline-filled downhill tracks, there are routes for every age, confidence level and sense of adventure.

Visitors can:

- Enjoy scenic woodland cycling on wide, traffic-free trails
- Discover beginner-friendly mountain bike routes such as Old Bob’s
- Progress onto technical trails, including Verderers and Freeminers
- Ride the same trails used by National Champions and Olympians
- Explore the forest on foot with miles of beautiful walking routes right from the centre

Our extensive hire fleet includes:

- Children’s bikes in a wide range of sizes

- Even a dog trailer for four-legged family members

Not sure what bike you need? Our experienced team is always on hand to help match you with the perfect bike and trail.

You’re also welcome to bring your own bike and make use of the trails and facilities.

Pedalabikeaway is designed to be a complete day-out destination, whether you ride or not.

At the centre you’ll find:
- Traffic-free access directly onto the trails
- A large car park suitable for cars, vans and motorhomes
- Skills areas and a pump track for all abilities
- Toilets, showers and bike wash facilities
- Accessible facilities, including a Changing Places toilet and baby changing station

Award-Winning Café

After your adventure, relax in our multi-award-winning, dog-friendly café.

We serve freshly prepared breakfasts, lunches, burgers, sandwiches, homemade cakes and artisan coffee, alongside teas, cold drinks and seasonal specials. Vegan and gluten-free options are always available.

And if you visit, make sure you try one of Mary’s famous cakes - they’ve become something of a local legend.

Indoor and outdoor seating makes the café the perfect place to unwind whatever the weather.

Bike Shop & Workshop On Site

Pedalabikeaway partners with Pedal Syndicate, our on-site bike shop and workshop.

Whether you forgot your helmet, need a quick repair, want to browse the latest bikes and riding gear, or are inspired to start riding more after your visit, the team is there to help.
