There are an impressive number of small independent shops nestled throughout the area, and you will be met with a friendly and personal service. The market towns and picturesque villages of the Dean Wye have a unique character and charm, and are home to plenty of local shops, farm shops, and cafes. There are butchers, bakers, traditional sweet shops, and book shops, as well as several delicatessens  offering a range of local produce, and some even offer delivery!

The area's craft centres are also great places to spend a few hours, and they can provide lots of ideas for unique gifts and souvenirs, as well as the opportunity to learn a new craft at one of the many workshop sessions that are available; at Taurus Crafts, you'll find a huge range of crafts, antiques, and goodies.
