About Newent Library
At Newent Library, you’ll find a friendly space to discover new ideas, learn new skills and connect with your community. We welcome people of all ages to explore, create, and feel included.
Our free library space supports reading, research, work, and social connection in a warm, inclusive environment. The team works closely with partners across the county to provide enriching cultural experiences, inspire creativity, support wellbeing and help people of all backgrounds enjoy culture and lifelong learning. The library boasts a cozy meeting room, an area just for young adults, a spacious children's section with an ongoing Creation Station to invite imaginative play any time, and a beautiful outdoor garden space complete with mud kitchen.
With four public PCs, a printer, and access to Ancestry and XXX for members, it is a hub for local history research and boasts a Family History Group which meets regularly. Other regular groups include Baby Bounce & Rhyme, LEGO Club, Library Littles, Story Time, an all ages Craft and Chat, Book Club, and Computer Buddy for digital skill building. The passionate team also offer periodic teen and 55+ crafts during term breaks and holidays.
