Things To Do
You are here: Food & Drink > Local Produce
The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley is a primary producer of top quality food and drink. Everything from cider, wine, artisan beer and cheeses, bacon and smoked Severn salmon, to organic juices and vegetables and free range eggs.
Many of our food and drink producers have on site shops, and local produce can also be found at other outlets throughout the area including our farm shops and delis. Why not pop in during your stay and pick up a few items or purchase a hamper full of goodies, then take some of our delicious locally made produce home with you or enjoy it in your holiday accommodation? What could be better than a cheese board and bottle of wine all made within a few miles of where you're staying!
Many of our producers offer tours, tastings and experience days too, great fun, a real treat and as gift vouchers they make great presents too. Enjoy a brewery tour, gin-making lesson or cookery class, try your hand at cheesemaking cider making or explore a beautiful hillside vineyard with a winery tour and tasting. You'll find a wide range of foodie experiences here in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley.
