This summer, journey 100ft beneath the Forest of Dean and experience Back to the Cave: The Full Spectrum — a major sculpture exhibition set within the ancient iron and ochre mines of Clearwell Caves.

In collaboration with renowned sculpture specialists Gallery Pangolin, the exhibition brings together work by 60 internationally celebrated artists, including Antony Gormley, Sarah Lucas, Damien Hirst, Lynn Chadwick, and many more.

Carved through 4,500 years of history, the caves form a spectacular setting for modern and contemporary sculpture — from glowing neon and polished bronze to immersive, site-specific installations created in direct response to the caves’ natural ochres.
