Backstage in the Gage - 1926 Miners' Strike

We are marking the centenary of 1926 by focusing on the impact in the Forest of Dean. In 1926, a miners’ strike sparked a general strike in May for 9 days. Although this failed, miners in the Forest of Dean continued to strike until November, fighting for better pay and working conditions.
