A charming three-bedroom holiday cottage at the heart of the Forest of Dean, ideal for families, mountain bikers, and cyclists. Located just steps from the Cycle Centre, Pedalabikeaway Cafe and Cycle Hire, Beechenhurst Lodge, and Hopewell Colliery, you’ll have easy access to top local attractions.

Originally a miners' cottage built for Cannop Colliery, Willow Cottage retains beautiful original features like exposed stone walls, wooden floors, and brick chimney breasts. Now fully renovated, the property combines traditional charm with modern, eco-friendly upgrades, including solar panels for hot water and electricity, and infrared heating panels. Two cozy log burners, fueled by locally sourced hardwood logs, add warmth and comfort.

The well-equipped kitchen features traditional wooden cabinetry, granite countertops, underfloor heating, and appliances such as a range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. A spacious dining room with a large oak table is perfect for shared meals and family gatherings.

In the lounge, relax by the log fire on twin sofas, or enjoy satellite TV, games, and free Wi-Fi for entertainment.

Upstairs, you'll find two double bedrooms and a third with bunk beds, ideal for families or groups of friends. A modern shower room and WC are conveniently located near the bedrooms.

Step outside to the large, enclosed garden, perfect for play or a picnic, and enjoy off-road parking for two vehicles. Secure cycle storage is also available.

Located centrally within the forest, you’re just a short walk from scenic trails, a nature reserve, a playground, sculpture trail, cafes, and a variety of cycle paths. If you’re lucky, you might spot wildlife like deer, squirrels, and even wild boar in the surrounding woods!

Arrival is flexible after 5 pm with self-check-in, and check-out is at 10 am.

Please enter the property via the back gate from the lane behind the house. We offer off-road parking in the back garden.

By Public Transport:
The Stagecoach No. 24 bus runs between Gloucester and Coleford, stopping at the Pygmy Pinetum Garden Centre, just half a mile from the cottage.
