About Mallards Pike

This beautiful setting, managed by Forestry England, is a great spot to get outdoors.

Enjoy a peaceful lakeside stroll, or treat yourself in our cafe - which services a delicious selection of food, drinks and cakes.

If you're looking for some adventure, jump onto the Go Ape high ropes course or hire a segway.

We have a selection of running trails offering you the opportunity to get fit in stunning natural surroundings. There is also parkrun every Saturday morning.

Try our fun, family map reading challenge at Mallards Pike with our Gruffalo Orienteering course. Use a simple map to find twelve Gruffalo markers hidden in the deep, dark wood. If you're feeling competitive, choose to run, walk (or skip!) the course against the clock.

The Colliers trail, our family-friendly cycling route, goes passed Mallards Pike and allows you to explore the wider Forest of Dean area.

Regular visitors can save money with a Forestry England membership.
