About Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail

Established in 1986, the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail is a unique outdoor experience that seamlessly blends contemporary art with the natural beauty of ancient woodlands. Spanning approximately 7.7 km (4.8 miles), the trail features a collection of sculptures crafted by artists inspired by the forest's rich history and environment. Visitors can explore these artworks at their own pace, with shorter route options available for those seeking a more leisurely walk.

Opening Hours

Open daily from 8:00 AM until dusk. Closed on Christmas Day.

Entry to the Sculpture Trail is free.​

Pay-and-display parking is available at Beechenhurst. Charges apply.​

Dogs are welcome on the trail. Beechenhurst Café provides water bowls and dog biscuits for canine companions.
