The Hope and Anchor, Ross on Wye

Right next to the river the Hope and Anchor has everything a good pub should. It has an incredibly generous beer garden used by walkers and ramblers in good weather, however we feel it really comes into its own when you hunker down by the fire in winter. All food is homemade 7 days a week. Their salt-baked beetroot is earthy, hearty and delicate in equal measure whilst the wild mushroom gnocchi is the ultimate in comfort food. They also have an excellent vegan breakfast offering for those staying at the Hope and Anchor or nearby.
