Adventure Deeper at Clearwell Caves

Our Adventure Caving trips take you deep into the lesser-seen parts of Clearwell Caves – a physical, hands-on challenge that’s muddy, exciting, and seriously rewarding.

You’ll walk, duck, crawl and scramble your way through a fascinating network of historic mine workings, carved by generations of iron miners over hundreds of years. These hidden spaces are only accessible on guided trips – and they’re worth the effort to see.

Led by a highly experienced guide, you'll explore in a small group (max 12 people) on a route that takes around 3 hours, including kitting up. You’re welcome to visit the Gift Shop or Lamproom Café for refreshments before or after your adventure.
