1:1 Owner Driver 4x4 Off-Road Course

Understand Your Vehicles Full Capability

We offer either a Stage One (half day) or Stage Two ( full day) course where clients drive their own 4×4’s accompanied by an instructor in our safe, but challenging environment. These courses are run on a 1:1 or bring a friend, colleague, family member for an exclusive 2:1 course.

Non-Damaging Driving Techniques

The content of these courses will follow the same format as the Introductory or Advanced course, with the emphasis on non-damaging off-road techniques.

You can expect the same level of expertise, instruction & challenging terrain to negotiate.

Within Safety Limitations

There may be areas on our site where you would prefer not take your vehicle, don’t worry, you don’t have to because the emphasis of our owner driver courses is to allow you to find the safe limitations of your vehicle without putting yourself, or your vehicle at risk.

We encourage a responsible attitude to off-road driving & emphasis the important fact, that the vehicle has to get you home at the end of the day.

Owner Driver Stages 1, 2 or 3

Half day or full day stages are available & depend on your 4wd vehicle make/model.  If your 4x4 doesn't have low range or is a long-wheel based vehicle, then book a Stage 1 (exception is the Defender 110 - a stage 2 can be booked if preferred).  For SWB 4x4's with low range you may book a Stage 2 which will still cover the Stage 1 in the morning before tackling more challenging terrain in the afternoon.

The Stage 3 is for customers with some off road experienced who may wish to add recovery techniques to the course & / or winching).  for winch courses, you must bring a suitable vehicle with front mounted winch & associated equipment.

Non-Damaging Techniques

The aim of our owner driver courses is for customers to learn the capabilities of their 4x4 vehicle, but more important, it's limitations.  Damage is not an option.  These courses are totally adapted for the vehicle & your ability.  One size, does not fit all when using a 4wd vehicle on unfamiliar adverse terrain.
