MILL END WEDDINGS & HEN PARTIES
Mill End itself comprises 3 properties internally linked, lovingly converted over the years by ex-fashion designer Liz Lewitt and her partner Zoff. Each bedroom is themed and named with quirky interiors, wallpapers and props from past fashion businesses, own cocktail bar and family travels.
Mill End offers dining space for up to 40, professionally equipped kitchens and cocktail bar and spa facilities.
Mill End Hen Parties offers catering, cocktails, cookery classes, pamper treatments, themed tea parties, butler in the buff & naked art classes, sewing bee crafts, gin mixology, wine tasting, boudoir photography & burlesque dance classes, vintage china hire, seated dinners, buffets, Mad Hatter's Tea Parties and much more.
A marriage between Mill End Mitcheldean and Bordello Banquets, we specialise in helping hens create entire themed weekends from boudoir & burlesque, through outdoor active, to pamper and craft and cocktails and catering – with or without a buttler in the buff.
We also offer the Ten for £10 bundle which is a wonderful way for hens to have an entire hen weekend itinerary of catering, cocktails, entertainment and classes with ten different things prepped and provided for you for your weekend – at £100 per head, it is great value for money and great fun!
Or Mill End Hen Parties can bring the Ten for £10 bundle (minimum of 25 girls) to wherever you are staying in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire or Bristol.
We also offer in house themed weddings, on a small intimate, family scale. If you would like something bespoke, small but perfectly formed, we can dress the house and tables and offer something delightfully wonderful for a sensible small budget too!
Getting to us
If travelling from Bristol by car
By far the quickest route is via Chepstow and along the A48 towards Gloucester on the Welsh side of the river. This avoids all the small villages in The Forest itself, and any potential rush hour traffic or road works in Gloucester. Remember to take the left hand slip road signed Forest of Dean and Chepstow, after the brow of the hill, and go over the OLD BRIDGE – if you go over the new bridge by mistake, take the M48 back to Chepstow on the Welsh side of the river!
Proceed along the A48, and through Newnham on Severn – about 30 minutes. Out the other side of Newnham, and through Broadoak, and under a railway bridge – you will pass Glevum Conservatories on your right, and a Texaco Garage on your left. Continue up the hill after the Texaco Garage. You will see signs, on the right hand side of the road, to Flaxley and Mitcheldean. The turning itself is on the left and fairly concealed, on the brow of the hill, before a cottage.
Mitcheldean is 4 miles from this point, along beautiful country lanes. Follow signs for Flaxley, past the abbey and chapel, and then proceed right to Mitcheldean. Once you enter Mitcheldean, at The Lamb pub, turn left onto the mini roundabout, and then immediately right. When you see the church infront of you and the now closed George pub on your right hand side, turn left into Mill End St.
If travelling from London or the North
Come off the motorway at Gloucester, and leave it on the A40 – the Ross and Monmouth Road. Continue on the A40 and follow signs for Ross-on-Wye, until you reach the village of Huntley. Then turn left at the lights, taking the A4136 for Monmouth. On arrival into Mitcheldean, The Lamb Pub will be on your left. Turn right at the mini roundabout and proceed over the brow of the hill. When you see the church in front of you and The George pub on your right hand side, turn left into Mill End St.
