About Mallards Pike Cafe
Set in the heart of the beautiful Forest of Dean, our glass fronted lakeside cafe is at Mallards Pike overlooking the lake. Our friendly cafe prides itself on serving the best coffee (fairtrade and roasted in the Forest of Dean) as well as fresh homemade lunches, cakes & snacks using local produce and ingredients wherever possible and welcomes walkers, runners, riders, families & well behaved dogs. Our homemade cakes are baked in house by our very own Mary and get snaffled pretty quickly! As well as indoor seating there is also a large area of outdoor seating along the edge of the lake. There’s always a water bowl here for your thirsty hound and dog treats in the cafe.Mallards Pike is just perfect for wildlife watching, walking your dog, waymarked trail running, getting an adrenaline buzz with Go Ape, or just soaking in the peace and tranquillity of the Royal of Dean Forest. We are a short traffic-free forestry track detour away from the fantastic Family Cycle Trail, so a perfect lunch or cake stop for a well-earned break on your family day out! The Family Cycle Trail Map is available to buy from Pedalabikeaway or Mallards Cafe.Facilities
