Poppy Fields by Luxmuralis at Gloucester Cathedral

Immersive installation Poppy Fields marks the much-anticipated return of Luxmuralis to the Cathedral, following the sell-out success of Light Eternal in 2023 and reflects on the sacrifices of the First and Second World Wars, offering a message of peace and hope for the future. As we commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE and VJ Day and approach the season of Remembrance, this moving experience invites you to pause, reflect and remember.

Brought to life through moving imagery, as well as snippets of recorded poetry read by Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne, Poppy Fields offers a moment of stillness in one of Britain’s most beautiful sacred spaces. Created by the world-renowned projection art gallery, Luxmuralis.

Ticket Information

Entry to the event is by 15 minute time slots. First entry will be at 6.15pm and last entry will be at 8.45pm, with the event ending at 9.30pm. We ask that you book a timed entry slot in advance, but you are welcome to stay and enjoy the installation for as long as you like! To book your ticket, please click ‘Book Now’.

Please note: due to the nature of this medieval building, access to the Tribune Gallery and Bridge Chapel is via a narrow spiral staircase and therefore regrettably there is no level access to this Premium experience.
