Pedal Wye Valley: Charity Cycling Event
20th Sept 2026 - 20th Sept 2026
About Pedal Wye Valley: Charity Cycling Event
Pedal Wye Valley is a one-day charity cycling event taking riders through the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, with routes that showcase the area’s hills, river valleys and well-known landmarks.
Starting and finishing at Chepstow Racecourse, cyclists can choose from three fully signed road routes, each offering a different level of challenge. Whether you’re building up mileage or looking for a serious test, there’s an option to suit confident leisure riders through to experienced cyclists.
Route options
25 miles (590m elevation)
The shortest route follows sections of the River Wye, passing Tintern Abbey before heading through Hale Woods and Chepstow Woods. A good choice for riders looking for a scenic but achievable challenge.
57 miles (1,417m elevation)
This intermediate route heads deeper into the landscape, taking in Coleford, Monmouth and Golden Hill. Riders pass through Llandogo and enjoy wider views from Whitestone and Cleddon, with stretches alongside the River Wye.
82 miles (2,015m elevation)
The longest and most demanding option loops through the Forest of Dean, with notable climbs including Symonds Yat, Harrow Hill, Coppett Hill and Huntsham Hill. Designed for riders who want a full-day challenge with serious elevation.
All routes are clearly signed, with a supportive event atmosphere throughout the day. The event raises vital funds for Parkinson’s UK, helping to support people living with Parkinson’s and fund ongoing research.
