Monmouth Archery Taster Session

Archery is a must-do family activity in the Wye Valley. Our Monmouth archery range is ideally located to enjoy this ancient pastime whether you’re camping in the Forest of Dean or a local family looking for fun.

Fun and games

You’re in safe hands with our qualified and experienced instructors. Your hour-long session begins with a safety briefing followed by tuition and guided practice to get you on target. We always make plenty of time for a few friendly competitions or games towards the end of the session.

Our bows and arrows are lightweight and easy to use, meaning that the activity is suitable for children (age 6+) and adults alike. We only take a maximum of 8 people on each session, so you have lots of opportunities to go for gold.

Qualified Instruction

Our instructors all hold the Archery GB Instructor Award or a higher level qualification. You can be assured of a safe, enjoyable session with Borderlands. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never held a bow and arrow before; our friendly staff will support you to learn the skills you need. Most people manage to get on target within a few turns.

An archery experience is one of the most accessible outdoor activities available. We’re happy to support participants with additional learning needs and physical disabilities to enjoy the sport.
