About Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling
One of the UK’s most legendary and eccentric events, the Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling returns to Cooper’s Hill for another adrenaline-fuelled day of thrills, tumbles, and tradition.
Each year, brave competitors hurl themselves down the almost-vertical hill in pursuit of a 9lb wheel of Double Gloucester cheese. It’s fast, chaotic, and undeniably entertaining – with participants coming from across the globe to take part (or just to watch from a safe distance!).
This free-to-watch spectacle is not only a celebration of local culture but a firm favourite on the British event calendar. It’s an unforgettable experience for spectators and daredevils alike.
