Fifteen Inch Frontier Weekend

Perrygrove Railway Adventure is going Wild West for the final weekend of May half term — and it's bringing some extraordinary company.

The Fifteen Inch Frontier Weekend takes place on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May, open 10am to 5pm both days. Joining Perrygrove's resident fleet for the occasion is a remarkable line-up of visiting locomotives: Lucy-Lou (SR&RL No. 24) from the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway; the Cagney of 1904 — making its first public steamings in over 15 years — on a rare visit from the Richmond Light Railway; the Seven Lamb Rio Grande from Thorpe Light Railway; Rachel, a 1959 Guest Engineering diesel hydraulic; and one more visitor still to be announced.

A full timetable runs throughout both days, including double headers and goods train runs — plenty to keep railway enthusiasts and little ones happy from the moment you arrive.

Alongside the engines: classic cars, a Stateside menu at Sophie's Saloon, and line dancing in the carriage shed on Saturday afternoon — all included in your ticket.

When you're ready for a break from the platform, there's plenty more to explore. The Treetop Adventure Trail, Twilight Village, Warren Adventure tunnel maze and Foxy Hollow are all open, with woodland walks and the Platform Café — serving hot drinks, homemade food and cake — open throughout the day. Dogs are very welcome, and every visiting dog receives a free bonio on arrival.

This is also your last chance to see Perrygrove's own Soony before she heads off on her UK tour.

Cowboy hats and boots are very much encouraged.
