This winter we celebrate the festive season with an exhibition inspired by Christmas in the natural landscape of rural Gloucestershire. This collection of work by twenty brilliant artists and makers includes unique gift objects, ceramics and small paintings against a backdrop of larger artworks, inspired by the beauty of winter in the countryside. Playful clay sculptures of wild creatures by artist Louise Brown sit alongside fairytale figures by ceramic artist Jean Tolkovsky. Studio ceramics include country tableware by Michelle Lowe, pots and small framed pieces by Emily-Kriste Wilcox, bowls and vases by Katie Timson, and illustrated pottery by Amelia Tuttiette.

Handmade prints include etchings by Wendy Rhodes and linocuts by Victoria Owen, while artist Jo Faulkner’s collaged portraits of woodland animals are set against stylised patterns of leaves and ferns. Watercolours by Kerry Phippen and ink and charcoal works by Clare Duguid capture the drama of the land in winter, alongside paintings by Sophie Windham, Caroline Hall, Paul West, Kirsten Elswood and Tamara Williams. For original gifting the collection also includes exquisite vessels by glass makers Ruth Shelley and Colin Hawkins, handcrafted marquetry boxes by Kevin Stamper and diminutive paintings of winter birds by Christopher Rainham, alongside sterling silver craft jewellery, handwoven and handprinted textiles, scented candles, and hand painted Christmas decorations.There is also a selection of unframed screenprints by much loved gallery favourites Sarah Targett, Charlotte Farmer and Andy Lovell, and lino and woodcut prints by Sarah Delahoy, Phillippa C Thomas, Patricia Homewood and more.
