About Symonds Yat Rock Lodge

We welcome adventurers, nature lovers, walkers and explorers to enjoy our beautiful surroundings and visit some of Wye Dean’s caves, castles, market towns and foodie haunts.  Try star gazing, climbing, canoeing and mountain biking (bring your own or get one delivered) or just relax in the peace and quiet.  Walks head from your front door into the ancient Forest of Dean and down to the River Wye or the famous Symonds Yat Rock.

There are so many things to see and do and places to eat from Double Gloucester cheese-makers to Michelin star restaurants.  Or maybe enjoy a fab pub lunch on one of our circular walks.

Bring your loved one, your pet, or just spoil yourself for flexible stays to suit your free time.  Our DOGS WELCOME includes access to all areas plus information on pet-friendly pubs and activities.

Our apartments give contemporary open plan holiday living with views over the Wye Valley National Landscape and are available for short breaks and long stays.

The accommodation: Light and airy modern accommodation comprises kitchen, lounge and dining area and mezzanine bedroom above with separate bath or shower room. Double doors open onto the outside seating area that has fabulous views over the rolling hills to the rear and guests also have full use of the adjacent guests' garden (with fruit and herbs to pick). There is ample off-street parking at your door and a washing area for dirty dogs, boots and bikes.  The guests’ laundry area also holds dog items, a book library and homemade jam.

Choose between standard kingsize, double or twin apartments or the larger Apartments 5 and 6 with their cast-iron stoves and showers with views of the forest trees.

We hold Pets Welcome, Walkers Welcome, Cyclists Welcome, Anglers Welcome and Bikers Welcome awards.
