About Granton Coach House
Situated in a peaceful village near to Symonds Yat and Ross-on-Wye, in the grounds of the owners’ property is Granton Coach House, a four-star property offering very comfortable self-catering accommodation for two people. The property is close to the Forest of Dean, Hay-on-Wye. Cardiff, Bristol and Cotswolds are within 1hr from the Coach House.
Featuring original wooden floors, exposed beams, a covered veranda, separtate small utility room, it is a bright, airy property with a spacious living/dining area and a romantic bedroom in what was once the hayloft with a superking size bed and en-suite shower room with toiletries and hair dryer provided. Guests can enjoy a wood burner in the colder months and the woodland garden and patio furniture in the warmer ones. On the patio, there is a BBQ and table and chairs.
Granton Coach House features:
Central heating throughout; a very well equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, slow crock pot, an electric oven/hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine and dishwasher as well as everything else you could need for your holiday; a comfortable lounge, with a flatscreen TV complete with Freeview, DVD and CD player.There is free WiFi throughout and fuel, power and a starter pack for the wood burner is all included with the rent, as are bed linen, towels and tea towels.
The property also has an off road parking space next to the coach house.
There are a number of top attractions and amenities within easy reach of Granton Coach House, including a village pub, which is just a short walk away and an excellent village shop, Woods of Whitchurch 1mile away. For those who love racing, Chepstow and Hereford Racecourses are around 30 minutes away by car, while Cheltenham Racecourse is a 40-minute journey. There are several golf courses nearby. Also nearby is spectacular Symonds Yat, the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Hay on Wye, ( famous for its literary festival). Monmouth & Abergavenny are also not far away. Spring and Autumn Flower festivals in Malvern are 35 mins away. Hereford and Gloucester cathedrals are worth visiting too. There is lots to see and do!
Please note, there is a 3 night minimum stay. We are strictly a no-smoking and pet free property. Sorry but the coach house is unsuitable for babes and children.
Getting To Us:
Road: Granton Coach House is relatively straight forward to find. Either from the south using the M4 motorway from the Newport exit and by- passing Monmouth or from the north via the M50. Both directions end up on the A40 and from either direction it is advisable to take the SECOND TURN from either direction into the village of Goodrich. It is 1/4 mile from the turn off. You will pass the Cross Keys pub. Continue along the lane ahead, ignoring the turn to the left at the brow of the hill. Continue along the lane until you see the gravel driveway in front of you just as the double bend in the lane bears left. Please park your car next to the coach house.

Public transport: Although not essential it is highly recommended that you have a car whilst visting this beautiful area of the Wye Valley. There is a bus that stops 3 times a day in the village and will take you to either Monmouth or Ross on Wye. From here buses are available to go to Gloucester, Hereford, or Ledbury. Time tables are available on line
