About Us
Join us for the Wye Valley River Festival, 27 May – 5 June 2022. The festival will appear in woodlands, streets and village greens throughout the Valley from Ross-on-Wye to Tintern Abbey - brimful of music, theatre, extraordinary creatures, fantastical mobile devices, trumpets, songs, sounds and laughter.
Each year the festival focuses on an environmental theme and WVRF 2022’s inspiration is Human
Most events are free, and everyone is welcome (including well-behaved dogs!). You are invited to come along, dip your toe in, or dive in head first! Bring the family, bring a friend, and bring a sense of fun.
Highlights:
Tintern Abbey Soundscapes: Daily throughout the festival, go and listen to our beautiful sound exhibitions in Tintern Abbey (included in the ticket entrance fee) 10am-5pm
Merry Monmouth Day: 28 May join us for street parades, theatre and general merriment in Monmouth 11am-5pm
The Whistlers at Symonds Yat 3-5 June: can you spot the elusive Whistlers? Book your ticket for an exploration in the forest, 2.30pm, 4.30pm, and 6.30pm each performance day, with BSL interpretation on Friday 3 June.
The Streets of Ross: 4 June. A day of performance and parades, in St Mary’s churchyard, Ross-on-Wye.
