About Us
OllieFest kicks off on Friday 27th August at 6:00 pm and runs to 11:00 pm. On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th we open the gates at 12-noon and continuing the party atmosphere until 11:00 pm. The curtain comes down on OllieFest with the annual fireworks on Sunday at 10.50 pm.
Refreshments are available all over the site, with a range of takeaway food options, from Chips & Burgers to Chinese and Ice-Cream (not necessarily together!)
We have a great range of bars on site to keep the public refreshed and helping them get really into the OllieFest spirit, all provided by All Barred Up, these include:
- The Black Bus Bar
- The Red Bus Bar
- The Artic Bar
- The Gin Bar
- The Ale Bar
To avoid cash transactions at the bar and to cut down on queues, the bars run a token system. You’ll need to buy tokens from the token booth to spend at the bars. 1 token = £1. The bars will not accept cash, so please ensure you have bought your reusable cup and tokens before heading to the bar. Tokens are non-refundable so please only purchase enough for what you intend on consuming. Cash and cards are accepted.
Don’t forget that we are plastic-free festival (not using throw-away plastic cups) instead, we sell you OllieFest cups that they are £2 each, money raised goes to OllieFest and the chosen charity. These cups are reusable and you get to keep them at the end of the festival, this also dramatically reduces the waste on-site at OllieFest.
Olliefest was first held in 2015 in response to the tragic loss of a member of Ross Rugby Club, Ollie Floyd. He was just 20-years-old when he died in March 2015, and was a popular member of the local Rugby Club. Ollie was a fun loving, cheeky young lad who had a real zest for life! Unsure of how to bring the community together, friends and relatives put together a free community event featuring live music including several well-known headline acts, along with a friendly rugby match at Ollie’s favourite place – the Ross Rugby Club!
The first event was a spur of the moment response to put something together, to acknowledge the grief of losing such a well loved friend but to also lift the community’s spirits and celebrate Ollie’s life.
The event has grown massively over the last 5 years and now offers a wide variety of musical entertainment as well as a fun fair, inflatables and plenty of places to eat and drink.
As you all know, OllieFest is a NOT FOR PROFIT EVENT, all money raised is given to the chosen charity. Unfortunately, OllieFest 2019 ran at a cost to the event organisers. We still managed to provide to the chosen charities, but nowhere near the level we would have liked, for what was, the best OllieFest to date in terms of crowd numbers. We wanted to keep OllieFest a FREE festival; however, the donation buckets in 2019 didn’t come anywhere near the total required. So for OllieFest 2021, we will be selling weekend entry tickets for an Earlybird price of £15 – Entry for Friday, Saturday & Sunday (increasing to £20 after 31st May 20210).
OllieFest operates an eco-friendly reusable cup system which requires you to buy a cup for £2 (which is yours to keep!) And to use this cup when visiting one of the many on-site bars. There is a charge for parking of just £3.
Costing around £30,000 to stage the event, it is only possible because of the fantastic support Olliefest have had from local businesses and individuals. This includes all those people who put their change in the collection buckets and sponsorship from the local businesses. We couldn’t do it without you so please keep supporting us and keep Ollie’s memory alive.
