About Us
Monmouth Bee Festival is a family friendly event which takes place in the centre of Monmouth Bee Town. The Festival includes activities for adults and children, stall holders offering bee derived products, craft stalls, plant sales, key local environmental group displays, and pizza and ice cream!
Monmouth Bee Festival is an annual event currently in its 5th year and growing rapidly. In its inception it was a family friendly occasion bringing together the local community and raising awareness of the work of Bees for Development and Bee Friendly Monmouthshire. Since then the charity has seen a growth of support across Monmouthshire and beyond, enabling Bees for Development to continue to develop sustainable projects across Sub-Saharan Africa as well as establish key policies in the UK for the benefit of the environment and bee habitats, vital contributors to the healthy biodiversity of the planet.
On Saturday July 2, private gardens around Monmouth will be open to the public and there will be activities for families at Two River Meadows. Enjoy a full day of workshops, activities and family fun at the festival on Sunday July 3. Games, crafts, hands on beekeeping demos, willow weaving, face painting and fishing for bees will play a part in making the Monmouth Bee Town a great place to bee.
Choose from free entertainment to ticketed workshops (book ahead to avoid missing out), spend a day in the park eating pizza and honey with more foodie options than ever before!
