About Us
The Devauden Festival has been running since 2010 and is a family friendly event set in the heart of Monmouthshire. Running Friday night and all of Saturday, three stages feature a wide range of some of the best local talent from across South Wales and surrounding areas.
This year 's line up has local lads and Devauden veterans Rusty Shackle headlining the Friday night with the phenomenal 9-piece Bristol based Cut Capers set to blow the tent roof off on Saturday night mixing their 4-piece brass section with funk, dance and hip-hop. There will be over 100 musicians and entertainers performing over the two days to suit all tastes.
The main stage and second stage are situated in our Glastonbury Big Top in the Cae Ni, behind Devauden's village hall, with stunning views over an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So you can enjoy the vast array of music, no matter what the weather, in a setting that is hard to beat!
The acoustic stage is located in the main building, conveniently close to the well stocked bar, serving a selection of real ales, cider and other drinks. If you are looking for something to soak up the drinks, there will also be a variety of food vendors, catering for all tastes.
This year’s event will run from 6.00pm to 11.00pm on Friday 20 May and from 10.30am to 11.00pm on Saturday 21 May. The festival will take place in the village hall, its grounds and the adjoining field (Cae Ni, which is owned by the hall), with great views over the Wye Valley.
Camping and car parking will be available in a nearby field on Friday and Saturday. Note - a camping ticket doesn't include entrance to the festival. You will need to buy an entrance ticket as well.
NOT ONLY MUSIC
Devauden Festival is built around music but it also incorporates something for everyone. As well as the great music, food and drink, there is plenty to keep the younger visitors happy in the Kids' Zone. There are children’s entertainers, circus skills, arts and crafts, displays by local groups, bouncy castles and small fair rides, food and non-food stalls. Take a look at the video here to get a flavour!
BRAND NEW FOR 2022 is Badgers' Corner which will be a beautiful place, where everybody is welcome, whether a hardened festival-goer, a first-timer, a little 'un or older statesman.
The wonderful team creating Badgers' Corner will conjure up a tented lounge with music, spoken word, chill out zone, fire pit and much more. You'll have to see it to believe it!
Devauden Festival is organised by the Hood Memorial Hall to raise funds and all profits go directly to the hall (charity no.524336j.
