
About Us
Our foraging trips are very popular. The crop depends on season and ranges from a wide variety of edible mushrooms, wild garlic and sorrel, bitter cress, pennywort, wimberries, edible flowers and wild strawberries. Spring forages will be more about the hedgerow, summer will be fruits and flowers and the autumn will have a more mushroom focus. We work with three organisations to bring you the best foraging experience.
On our autumn forages you will be accompanied by fungi experts, Eric or Marlow. Meeting at 9.30am you will start with a short talk on foraging with tea and coffee before departing at 10am for a walk from the hotel. At this time of year we would expect to find some mushrooms on the forage. You will return to the hotel for 1pm for a three course lunch. Confirmed dates for 2021 are:

Group foraging is £80 per person including lunch.
Eric or Marlow are also able to take out private groups Monday to Thursday subject to availability. The cost for up to 6 people is £250 (for more than 6 there would be a £25 per person additional charge). This does not include lunch. Please call us on 01594 833046 to enquire and book.
