About Us
Ruardean Garden Pottery offers classes in throwing on the potter's wheel to all levels - from complete beginners to experienced throwers - under the guidance of master craftsman John Huggins.
An ideal activity for both individuals and families. Visitors are welcome at the pottery, which is situated with wonderful country views towards the mountains of Wales.
Established in 1979, the pottery produced a wide range of handthrown terracotta plant pots, exhibiting for many years at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Now still creating pots for homes and gardens, the pottery makes limited numbers of contemporary ceramics, made using traditional techniques, whilst concentrating on offering classes and courses to those wanting to learn the art and craft of pottery and throwing on the potters wheel.
Weekend classes are scheduled every month. Intensive week-long classes are available, as well as a Big Pot course during the summer. Single Day or Half Day classes are also available and are arranged upon request.
Gift vouchers are available and make for an ideal present.
