About Us
Greenacres Stables is a small and friendly riding centre situated in Lea, Herefordshire. We are within easy reach of Gloucester, Ross-on-Wye, and Mitcheldean. We are able to offer lessons for all abilities on our range of horses in our large outdoor arena, and we also have access to lots of wonderful hacking in the nearby Forest of Dean.
Lessons
We have two outdoor arenas in which we can teach, a 35x60 metre and a 20x40, and we have a full complement of show jumps as well. We have a range of lesson types to suit all requirements.
Under 16s:
- Tots Taster (15 mins): £10
- 30 minute private: £15
- 45 minute private: £25
- 30 minute group: £10
- 45 minute group: £15
Adult:
- 30 minute private: £20
- 45 minute private: £30
- 30 minute group: £15
- 45 minute group: £20
Hacking
There are trails and rides in the forest to suit a range of confidences with a number of a good canters and gallops for those who want! Unfortunately we are only able to offer hacking to reasonably experienced riders, as hacks can be more challenging than arena lessons and a good command of steering and stopping is essential.
