About Us
The Cider Mill was brought into the fold of our luxury properties in 2020. It has a tree lined drive, a wonderful garden, good parking including a covered carport and the bonus of a laundry room.
It has been refurbished to a very high standard throughout and is almost brand new. It is on one level only and is suitable for those with limited mobility. The house is situated at the end of a tranquil lane on the edge of a family farm surrounded by cider orchards and within walking distance of the River Wye. It is located in a heavenly area.
The Cider Mill can be taken independently, sleeping 6 or combined with our other properties at Monnington House the total sleep could be 24. Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement.
The property has 3 en-suite bedrooms with superking beds. All beds are high specification and the linen is luxurious. The kitchen, dining sitting room is a very spacious room with a cathedral ceiling and oak trusses. The kitchen is well equipped and suitable for those who enjoy cooking.
The garden is mature and beautiful. There is a large south facing terrace with garden table and chairs for long lazy lunches and additional garden sofas and chairs. There is also shared use of our playing field which includes two football goals. There is a timber framed building which can house one car and has a really useful laundry room with additional fridge.
There are numerous trails straight from the door including the Wye Valley Walk plus cycling trails too.
There is a pub within 16 minutes walk which welcomes dogs at the bar. Oakchurch, the superb farmshop is 1.8 miles from the house and will make life very easy.
Visits to Hay on Wye are a must. There are books shops to browse, antique shops to visit, the market on Thursdays is a must plus a cinema visit at the back of Richard Booths books shop is always fun. Numerous ‘National Gardens’ are nearby and well worth a visit. Llama trekking in the Black Mountains is becoming increasingly popular as is Wild Swimming in the Wye. The Rare Breeds Farm at Kington is a winner with young and old.
This is a great house to stay in and a superb area to visit.
