Three self-catering apartments and one room have been created by converting a former Victorian Water Pumping Station
Ideal for bringing the family together in one location with a large dining table in the spacious Old Furnace apartment capable of seating everyone together and a heated conservatory to allow space to meet and chat.
Catering for up to 10 people Two apartments include accessibility features and full details are available here. In exception cases we can accommodate more people using sofa beds in some apartments.
With plenty of cutlery, plates and glasses for a family gathering. The separate accommodation units allow you to book just what you need and lets the guests have privacy when needed but with space to meet up when they want.
Outside there is terrace with seating and acres of forest to explore.
The accommodation has superfast wifi in all rooms and electric vehicle charging points.
Joiners Well – Named after the adjacent well this luxury one bedroom apartment with king bed and ensuite shower, Sleeps 2. Fully equipped fitted kitchen including dining and living area. Large screen TV. Outside there is a terrace with table, chairs and parasol.
The Old Furnace – Converted from the former furnace room when the water pumps were powered by steam. A two-bedroom apartment, one with king bed and ensuite shower and the other with twin beds and separate shower. Sleeps four. Fully equipped fitted kitchen, dining area and extensive living space with large screen TV.
Robins Rest – Luxury one bedroom apartment with twin beds and ensuite large shower. Sleeps 2. Fitted kitchen and living area. TV in living area and bedroom. This room has additional features to support accessibility.
The Bat Loft – Situated above the former steam pump. A first floor twin room with ensuite shower and seating area and TV. A kettle, fridge and microwave oven for snacks is included. (This room is kept pet free)
All guests have access to a shared heated conservatory offering additional seating and dining space. The Pumping Station has underfloor heating throughout powered by a water source heat pump reducing the climate impact of your accommodation.
You can listen to the birds or watch the stars or use it as a base to explore acres of forest set within the Royal Forest of Dean. Walk or cycle in woodland in any direction straight from you accommodation. Nearby is St Anthony’s Well, the remains of Gunns Mill as well as lime kilns and former stone quarries. For the more adventurous Go-Ape tree adventure, canoeing on the Wye or mountain biking may appeal with lots to do for children of all ages.
With ample parking and two electric vehicle charge points it provides an ideal base to explore the Forest of Dean and Wye valley.
Egyptian cotton bedding and luxury towels ensure a high level of comfort during your stay.
